Hi, I have an encrypted back-up copy of my sdcard (cloned sd-card, ext4 filesystem). I'm able to unlock it with my Xperia X or with my LinuxMint laptop, no problem (although Jolla Zendesk says it's normally not possible). However, when I try to unlock it with my old Jolla phone, after having given password + confirmation, it fails with an error "Not allowed to unlock sd-card". Does this mean it's encrypted with some kind of device restriction?

Possible explanation: on Jolla phone, setiings>storage>format only proposes vfat filesystem, no ext4. Maybe ext4 is not supported?

So, unless I missed something, the original Jolla phone does not support ext4, the standard and default file system for Linux/Debian operating systems.

Too bad for those who, like me, have a more or less state-of-the-art device for daily usage, plus a Jolla phone as a back-up device in case of need: although my Jolla is regularly kept updated with my Xperia data, and my back-up sd-card periodically updated as well, I can't rely on an instantly available replacement device in case the Xperia is lost, stolen or broken (except if I purchase a second Xperia of course).

The Jolla 1 does support ext4, see cat /proc/filesystems

Okay. So what is wrong with my ext4 sd-card?

EDIT: Just performed a new test with an unencrypted ext4 sd-card, which the Jolla phone can actually detect, read and write. So the issue appears to be the encryption (LUKS variant compatibility?)
