I use an updated Jolla 1 (Nuuksio 3.2.1.20 - 2020-03-26) and try to install Signal with no luck.

I downloaded Signal-website-universal-release-4.57.2.apk from signal.org/android/apk verified the certificate after unzipping the apk with

$keytool -printcert -file META-INF/SIGNAL_S.RSA # keytool is part of Java-JDK

copied it on my micro-SDHC and tried to install it via FileBrowser.

The message was, that I need Android SDK 19 (but version 16 is installed) I read that Sailfish X has Android SDK 19 - so this might be a particular Jolla 1-problem

Same with : No luck

$apkd-install Signal...apk

Here, I got:

method return time=158520609.552253 sender=:1.4 -> destination=:1.263 serial=29 reply_serial=2
    boolean false

Any chance to get Android SDK 19 with coming updates for Jolla 1?? Other ideas??

Not going to happen. It stopped at Alien Dalvik 4.4.

If you used the search facility, you would find dozens of the same question with the same responses.

Thanks @coderus, I wasn't entirely sure of the versioning, but knew it will not be renewed.
