Have upgraded to 3.3 on XA2 single sim but get error "could not enctypt user data" message when trying to encrypt. Have 501.7mb of system data free. Are there any minimum memory requirements to allow successful encryption please? Has anyone successfully encrypted following XA2 upgrade to 3.3 please? Thanks

same problem here on a XA2 as well.

journalctl | grep grep sailfish-encryption-service gives me:

Solved! I removed aliendalvic controls and encryption works (takes quite a time)

NB I also noticed that uninstalling Android Apps didnt appear to work in 3.3 ehen trying to free up spaceg and this could be aliendalvic related too.

Let me know if removing Aliendalvik works too.

Niceto hear it worked for you, but I am still unable to encrypt /home.

I uninstalled Aliendalvik-Control and Android App support, restarted my XA2+ and attempted to encrypt again - same failure as before :/ What should I look into?

I had removed aliendalvic controls before, and still get the same problem.

I'll try removing Android App Support but I doubt it will fix it. I'll report here once tried

I also freed up some space by uninstalling some apps but I don't think this was the main reason it worked as I had freed up the space before I removed aliendalvik and the additional space alone wasn't enough to encrypt. On the XA2 I had about 531MB of System data free and had removed aliendalvik .

confirmed - removing Android App support does not fix the issue, i have the exact same logs / errors.
