Today I updated my XA2 Plus to 3.3.0.14 and tried to encrypt storage, but it says "Cannot encrypt user storage". Tried it two times - second after reboot, same result. Could somebody advice me?

Are there possible any 3rd party apps installed in your phone? Try to uninstall them before you attempt the encryption.

Same problem with XperiaX. I will try to check with openrepos apps removal.

Same problem with my XA2 Plus 3.3.0.16 same result after backup to SD Card. No change if SD card was removed and backup was online (cloud).

The SD card has no role when encrypting the user data in the phone.

After disabling all openrepos repos and all visible openrepos apps I tried again and it still did not work. Then, I tried to remove Patchmanager and Aliendalvik-control and I could start the encryption process but I was stuck with "One moment..." step for about an hour. After giving almost up, I long-pressed the power button to reset and restarted the device and voilà, Sailfish started encrypting! Maybe this works also for others.
