I wonder how I can import notes from a sailfish_backup file (more easily).

Reason: Restoring a backup failed - apparently restoring calendar entries made the restoration process stop and thus Accountsand Browser were restored but not so Calendar, Gallery, Media, Messages, Notes, Phone and Poeple.

Restoring People (vcf file), Calendar (ics), Media and Gallery manually was easy.

Notes are stored in a .sql file that I can edit with the editor and thus I see the text of the notes (with a lot of stuff around). I wonder, whether there is a way to import these notes without copying every entry manually via the editor. Any idea?

Off course, it would also be great to manually restore Messages, but that might be more difficult.

I have used Sublime Text on Windows to read the notes.sql file. Works a treat, not exactly convenient but means you can rescue your data.

What about using the console (developer mode)?

Copy the extracted sqlite file (it is a long-hex-number.sqlite file?) to your device under
/home/nemo/.local/share/jolla-notes/QML/OfflineStorage/Databases/

Please check aforehand what is in that directory and if the name matches, make backups and copy here with the already present name (should be the same???)

Disclaimer: I never did this, nor do I know if this works. But this is the way I would try... :)
