Hi, i've been thinking that why there isn't any always on display mode for the low power display thing. I know that Xperias and Jolla phones had LCDs(and i think they still have) but other phones with AMOLED that got ported Sailfish OS could benefit from it as a feature. Is there any way to have it or is it needed to modify the system?

The timeout is also set with mce-tools. For users reading this, who want to install mce-tools, use the following command in terminal;

devel-su pkcon install mce-tools

Once you have it installed, you can change the timeout with the following command;

mcetool --set-blank-from-lpm-on-timeout=5

the figure at the end of the above line is the default setting of 5 seconds, change it to whatever you desire.

You can check the general status of mce-tools with the following command;

mcetool

For general help with mce-tools, use the following command;

mcetool --help

For more in-depth help with mce-tools, use the following command;

mcetool --long-help

There is the Low Power Mode (LPM) also called glance screen available. See this tutorial on how to activate it: https://together.jolla.com/question/937/glance-screen-partially-implemented/?answer=50215#post-id-50215
