In version 3.3.0.16 there are annoying bugs. How can I downgrade from 3.3.0.16 to 3.2.1.20. Is that possible with "version --dup"?

Thanks Jolla for the nice try.

Perhaps you might care to expand on "annoying bugs" for the benefit of others?

In 3.3 is the partial use of the SD card for Android a nice thing. But I just don't need that really and I don't need new encryption either. SFOS 3.3 does not offer an advantage (for me), but creates a new problem that does not exist in 3.2. Therefore I would like to have version 3.2 again. 3.2 is the best for me for since Jolla support Sony XA2.

Downgrading is not recommended. But if you really want to do it. Make backup and then:

version --dup

Thank you. I know this way. Are there any side effects?

I have tried couple times to downgrade my Jolla and everything was ok after downgrade.

But you have to remember that always something can go wrong.

Mmmh, a factory reset kicks me back to the stone age.

I answer myself and have a suggestion for Jolla:

I understand that no one wants to continue supporting older versions. Nevertheless, it would be smart to offer an archive with old versions. Others do that too. It costs nothing and just makes me and others happy with problems with a current firmware.

I don't want to imagine if that would have happened to my J1. How many updates would be necessary then, 20, 50, 100 or more? Of course I could also wait half a year until my problem (maybe!) would be solved. This is a horror show and would make me think about staying with Sailfish X.

Less than 20, there are 8 stop releases at the moment.

the door for better os fragmentation...

@cemoi71: I call it user-friendly. Almost every Linux distribution offers a history, as well as other manufacturers. Support and further development is only available for the current version, but everyone can install the desired version at their own risk. There is no problem with fragmentation. Jolla is not Google and offers the same version for every device, from J1 to Sony Xxx. Without a downgrade, does the user have to wait months with a bug for an update? No thanks, Jolla is not famous for his quick troubleshooting. I have not remembered a hotfix after a few days or weeks in recent years. The installation of any version offers the possibility to (temporarily) fix a problem.

@Pohli: stop releases, yes. Very customer friendly.
