Hello. Is there a way to change the transfer folder location (/home/nemo/downloads)? I want to download / transfer files/documents from the browser or bluetooth to a sd card (e.g. /Downloads or what else), because of more space. Perhaps it's possible to link the Downloads folder to a sd card folder? I don't know if this is possible the document app wouldn't find the downloaded file(s) any more? Thanx

You should be able to do it. Edit /home/nemo/.config/user-dirs.dirs. I have

XDG_DOWNLOAD_DIR="$HOME/incoming"

and it seems to work fine.

Edit: I forgot that in SailfishOS the file is overwritten on each boot(?). So, edit /etc/xdg/user-dirs.defaults instead.

Short answer; no.
Medium answer: maybe, but for that that you need access to browser (bluetooth) sources. So no.
Long answer: everything from browser is downloaded to ~/Downloads, so you may remove that directory and symlink it to a SD card folder.
The same you can do with ~/Documents. Documents app will not notice and find all files.
For BlueTooth the behaviour is different and it tries to detect file type, deny/allow the transfer and put it either in ~/Downloads or ~/Documents. Totally confusing.

Install file browser from Jolla store, or from openrepos: file browser beta from ichthyosaurus or filecat from llelectronics or filecase from cepi perez or ...

Ok, i'll try it. Sounds like behavior of the linux box (symlinks).

@peterleinchen: This won't work correctly because the gallery app shows all images twice. This could be a bug in the gallery app. The simpliest work around is to copy the files or images from ~/Pictures and ~/Downloads to the SD card an delete them afterwords from home, because they cannot me moved directly (perhaps a bug as well).
