Terminology: change term "link" into "merge" in contacts app
It's really unintuitive that "merge contacts" function is labeled as "link contacts". Please change it asap into "merge contacts"

The question is: Is it merging or is it linking? Linking is preferable if the contacts are from different sources, like Facebook, Twitter etc.
martinrusler ( 2014-02-02 19:04:53 +0200 )editWhy? I don't like the idea that I would have same person in three different (similar) contact names. User Interface DOESN't give any hints that how different (same person) contacts are related to social media, mobile telephony etc.
LaruX ( 2014-02-02 19:51:00 +0200 )editTo continue: for example, one week ago I tried sent SMS to my cousin and ended to use "contact" which was FB only. Well, message went to his FB account.
Today I tried to send SMS to my boss and got three different similar contacts. Then I decided to MERGE these contacts, but wasn't able to found how to do it due to "link" term.
