Roaming problem in HPLMN : disconnection for several seconds

I have some problems related to roaming disconnections between two French operators.
In France, the operator Free Mobile is young with a very low 3G coverage (and no 2G) and therefore uses the Orange network in 2G and 3G in some areas.
When switching from one operator to another and also switching between 3G and 2G, the Jolla stay offline between 5 and 10 seconds before finding a network and after that, data connection is lost for a long time.
Is this issue could be related to the radio part of Jolla given that my old phones didn't have this problem and that other people are concerned ?
It seems to be the same with another phone (Sony Xperia Z1). So I will change my operator to see if the problem continues or not!
