Hi, it will be really great if this Metronome could be replicated for Jolla (http://my-meego.com/software/applications.php?fldAuto=632&faq=2). The one in the Jolla Store has features that are unnecessary. Or if they could be better variable. I am a musician and use metronome every single day. You should be able to put it to "no meter", and the BPM are too rough. This one has a better gradation of BPM, but it's missing visual (blinking) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.resoundspot.metronome.lite) Thank you!

As a DJ, fractional BPMs would be a very nice addition since I constantly deal with BPM values of 131,5 etc.

I am working on a metronome right now... :)

Still work in progress, but the basics are there. No blinking at the moment, only tick-tock-tack. Do you feel visuals are needed? I expect I would let the screen go off to save the battery while exercising.

I kind of modeled it after an electronic metronome I have around. I rarely use most of those features, but it was fun implementing them.

I will put it on OpenRepos soon, but I will probably tweak it for a while before I am satisfied with it. So input is appreciated.

Experimenting with barefoot (or rather minimalist) running, so a "blind" metronome would be nice to have. The latest experiment is breathing in sync with the steps. One amount of steps for inhale and another amount of steps for exhale. It would be nice if this could be set on the metronome. If I may wish for specific sounds then two differently pitched hihat-ish short pink noise sounds would be nice... Hello again, btw.

@vattuvarg - hey, that's one of my use cases as well... I started minimalist running last year, and I want to match a consistent 180 BPM stride. I have been using music, which is less boring than a metronome... But I will try the metronome as soon as it stops raining! It is loud enough that no headphones are needed. I am not sure about your breathing needs... At the moment I have three sounds, "tick-tack-tock", first one is accent beat, second is normal quarter beat, the last one is any other subdivision.I suppose you could use a 2/4 tempo with eight notes to have a tick-tock-tack-tock pattern.

The thing is that I want the next inhale to come with the other foot. The sum of steps for inhale and exhale should be uneven. I know it seems like hocus pocus but I'd like to try anyway. Running on huaraches was an experiment two years ago and making the sandals myself still is. So... My need is to have the indicator for the cadence. That's already done. The wants never seems to come to a stop...

I found a metronome that is quite all right (in addition to one from Nokia) it is called Andronome Metronome.

I am not really sure that tick-tock-tack is really needed. A tack-tack-tack, etc should really be enough. Visual is a must. There are situation when you can not use just the sound.
