I read some days ago a post about ambience color picking. As in my possibility, I created an ambience with a personal picture but I'm not completely satisfied/persuaded of how colors are picked in that case. I'd like to study that piece of software and, possibly, contributing an algorithm I have in mind about color analysis and picking. Is it possible? How?

Hi, i don't think Jolla is interested in this since the sailfish UI is closed source and they want to keep it that way. It's a shame, they are alienating the core of their target audience with this behaviour.

I had the same feeling. I understand that their UI makes the difference, anyway I tried to ask. Maybe my ideas are worse than those already implemented, but confronting can only be good. If the Rome Jolla meeting will be held I'll ask it directly to Stefano Mosconi. Thank you anyway for your answer.

Being as open as possible would make a difference. The UI is a nice gimmick but it won't help them in the long run.

Can't agree more than this. Being the first typesetter of Free Software Magazine, I would finally love to get a truly open device.

@Gianluca Having direct access to a Magazine maybe you can get someone @Jolla to see the light, or at least give an official comment.
