The title says it all... I suspect it's a bit too much, isn't it? Looks like half of the 500 hours...

Jolla 1.0.3.8, 3G, data off, WiFi off, BT off, screen off, no running apps, no calls and no SMSs.

Network is Vodafone. Signal is strong (didn't read the dBm in csd, though) and don't think there has been a constant 2G/3G switching.

At midnight the indicated value was 90%, a 8 the following morning it was 87%. Hence, 9%/day.

EDIT: as suggested by @HarhaanJohtaja, I've repeated the test in airplane mode (SIM inserted) but found an almost identical drain.

It sounds a bit high to me but considering the overall battery power saving boost the latest update gave to the phone regarding the battery drainage I'd say its nothing compared to what it was in previous updates without using tinfoil or stop tohd. service from terminal.

I'm sure it's better than before, though I have no experience of previous revisions, having received the Jolla on Jan. 31st and promptly updated to 1.0.8.3 ;-) Still, does your Jolla betters this drainage?

Haven't tested the battery to run out completely yet after latest update. Usually plug the phone to charger when there is about 20% power left. Have to give it a try now though.

Try with airplane mode.

In user tests, the max (500h) was exceeded only without any connections on (even SIM card removed) and without any apps running. Refer to table at http://reviewjolla.blogspot.fi/2013/12/user-report-tool-jolla-battery.html for more results.

@simo: If the information fits the problem/question: Why not direct to external sources even they are under your control? (I am sure, over all you would not point to your sources/blog only but also to other sources you remember if they should fit.)

PS: I too have just received some karma points because an answer (wiki) of mine pointing to one of my questions (HowTo) has been accepted as answer.

According to GSMarena:

"Stand-by time is the officially quoted longest time that a single battery charge will last when the phone is constantly connected to the GSM network but is not in active use."

So standby does not mean airplane mode.
