I have applications open like mail, calendar etc in home screen. When I open an applicatiin I usually tend to close them accidentally.

Could application be locked so they can't be closed unless the lock is removed (pressing long on the application or something)? Also I would like to re-arrange the open applications like I can re-arrange them on my launcher screen.

Now there are already three buttons for a cover: close, pin to current location and never close ;-)

How can you close them accidentally?

It happens from time to time if you swipe from the top to the bottom at that time, when you are in an application and you want to lock the device with the same guesture. I guess that this needs some time to get to used to: first get to home scren (swipe from border) then lock (swipe from top)

well, personally i never lock the screen with swipe down. powerbutton seems so much better and more accessible.

The nice thing about this OS is, that you never want to press buttons again :-) There are quite a few challenges left, to really get rid of all these buttons, but IMHO they get solved one by one....
