Easier access to WiFi/WLAN configuration [duplicate]

WiFi/WLAN networks play a very inportant role in todays Internet connection.

As such connections frequently change by using WiFi at home, in Hotspots, in the company, etc. WLAN selection/configuration should be easily accessible. Today it's very complicated by starting "settings", clicking on "system", clicking on WLAN, drawing pulley menu to "connect to Internet", etc. ....

In other devices (like my N9) I can just click in the status bar on tor and see tp which network I'm connected and clicking on the network it allows me to select another one or restart connection in order to connect to the nearest access point ....

Request: please integrate direct access to WLAN/WiFi - I'd even love to have an icon on lock screen

I too would love to be able to jump directly to different settings (eg WLAN/WiFi) from lock screen.

You can make it a little bit (one step) shorter than you described. Go to System settings, long press on WLAN and Add to favourites. Now you have two icons with WIFI, but the first one (in the first row, which is there by default) is for turning WLAN on or off while the new one you created is for connections. I know this is not what you would like in the end, but just a little suggestion to make things faster.
