Phone locked while using application e.g browser

I have been using sometime the phone's safety feature i.e. locking the device with code in addition to the pin-code during the starting of the phone.

I am not sure, if it related to the SF 1.0.3.8, but I have noticed that when I am using application long time the phones enters to the locked state behind the screen e.g. after this post I need to give the lock code to access the other parts of the phone.

Should the locking be based on idle time, which will reset always when there is user activity?
