Sorry for a vague description but I didn't find too much specific items covering this area either.

When I browse with my Jolla and end up to sites having video content most often it: a) does not work at all - and no notification why b) video playback experience is not optimal (video plays in small part of the screen, video quality is bad , or there are glitches in video content playback, audio and video not in sync, or video stalls when audio works)

Any source for information on what is supported in this area AND what is planned. This is clearly an area where Jolla is behind competition (my experience from WP and somewhat with Android).

I am no reliable source on information beyond my own experience with the Jolla. but, Whatever problems you're experiencing in video playback in the web are most likely related to a) lack of Flash support in Jolla or b) lack of proper HTML5 -streaming on that website (and c.) maybe still some residual kinks in Sailfish browser's implementation of HTML5). Unfortunately, both a.) and b.) are often the case. I can report playback working well on Vimeo if you switch off HD (OS ver. 1.0.7.16), and many other sites are gradually making their streaming services compatible with what SailfishOS can do, because they are trying to cater to ipad users - and because everybody knows Flash is dying. :-D Some sites that you can't use in Sailfish browsers may work for you in Android browsers like Firefox, if you have the Android Flash plugin installed.

I have also been streaming some .mp4 files that work for some time, but video may stop / break at some point while audio continues
