The Sailfish keyboard currently has no way to type an mdash (—) or ndash (–) in the keyboard, only a regular dash (-). I quite regularly use mdash, in particular. It is part of writing nice texts. The suggestion is simple: hold on the dash key to get the option of mdash or ndash (matches iOS functionality).

I agree. My earlier question: https://together.jolla.com/question/19999/cant-type-en-dash-on-virtual-keyboard/. I suggest I add mention of em dash in my question & we close this question as duplicate?

Sounds good, I tried to search for mdash, but didn't see that.

mdash, m-dash, em dash :) I was originally talking only about the en dash, so this is a good addition. I closed this one.
