I would suggest that there is some sort of rough unofficial timescale regarding software updates. I know that this will cause a lot of debating and problems since people don't understand the nature of software development and will probably start complaining why the update is not out just a few hours after the "promised" date. I am not asking for accurate dates or similar just any sort of rough indication like 1 update per month or 2 updates for Q1 or similar.

Jolla has promised monthly updates (at least at the beginning). Since the last two updates were at the end of the month this is probably how it will be also in the future. I do not think they will give any even unofficial timescale.

There already is a rough unofficial timescale: Tomi Pienimaki promised monthly updates during the Jolla launch event: http://www.jollausers.com/2013/12/november-27th-the-undexpectedly-crowded-day/

According to this feedback from Care, the next one should arrive during the first week of march.
