Suggestion: Merge the Lock-Screen with the Home-Screen [duplicate]
I think this would be a good idea science the Lock-Screen is nearly empty and it would provide the possibility to control and access apps more easily.

My home screen is far from empty. Do you mean the lock screen?

esreal ( 2014-02-19 18:29:03 +0200 )editI don't think this is a good idea - the lock screen should actually stay "locked", i.e. not allow involuntary starting of an action. You have to get past this screen by swiping up, and only then you can interact with the elements on home screen. This makes perfect sense in my view.

martinrusler ( 2014-02-19 20:23:21 +0200 )editHi casanunda, that’s a good point! But I think due to the double tap gesture or the side button the device is locked well enough. Further, it would just enable the user to use swipe gestures and open an application, but not to start a new one. Anyway, maybe an option to merge the screens would serve us both :).
