Problem with non-ASCII symbols in filename

Hi!
Writing this question on behalf of one of Russian Jolla users from our forum. He have a problem with cyrillic symbols in filenames everywhere in native apps - in Mail, File browser, etc. He have question marks instead of cyrillic symbols (like this: http://pixs.ru/showimage/2014021923_9135254_10947217.jpg) - but on my own device everything works fine ( http://pixs.ru/showimage/2014021923_9203554_10947218.jpg).
The main difference between 2 devices is that his phone was 'bricked' and then restored. Minor difference: my phone is on Russian locale (and was on when I've copied files) - his one was on English locale. However, even when I change locale to English I can see filenames correctly.
Console output from 'locale' in phone console are the same on both phones.
Maybe someone have idea on how to sort this out?
