Foursquare last versions. Can't sign in: "Google Play services, which some of your applications rely on, is not supported by your device. Please contact the manufacturer for assistance".

Foursquare only worked in the Playstore version on my Jolla. The version from Yandex had the mentioned error.

Opera browser ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.opera.browser ) - Crashes right after start

Opera works for me. I got it from Opera's own website though, not from Google's Play Store.

I would assume, that apps relying on google framework may fail.

Sometimes restarting an app many times helps, e.g. after 6th start the app does not crash any more.

  • Ravintola.fi application from ravintola.fi - Crashes at start.

+1 for chromecast. Chromecast enabled apps like BBC Iplayer work perfectly but not the chromecast app itself.

Quizduell PREMIUM Version (German Quizkampen) from Amazon Appstore cannot establish a network connection. FREE/Lite Version works just fine :-)

I've bought the Premium version... And it doesn't work. :/

torcida ( 2014-03-18 18:41:34 +0300 )edit

Did you buy it from Amazon Appstore, too? Or did you use the Google Play Store one?

Matthias ( 2014-03-19 01:38:47 +0300 )edit

I got it from Amazon Appstore.

Have you succeeded in setting up the account? I facing the same issue, runing updated versions of both OS and App

justvader ( 2014-11-10 13:22:26 +0300 )edit

I've just installed update 10 on the Jolla and re-installed Good, got a new activation code from IT, and unfortunately, it still seems to stop at "Starting Services". I'd had some hopes for the new update, but alas, we're still at square one. I'm not very under-the-hood on the Jolla, so I don't even really know what it's hanging up on. :-(

andrew_articom ( 2014-12-22 16:55:44 +0300 )edit

I'm also having problems with Good. Somehow I got through the "Starting services", but when I try to open the app, it says that action isn't supported and closes. Sometimes it runs in the background, because I'm getting email and task notifications in the events view and on my Pebble.

Flinkster from Google Play always crashes at startup.

Installing purchased apps crashes the store application entirely.

You may want to try https://openrepos.net/content/schturman/dalvik-cleanup when having problems running Android apps. This helped me when all apps were crashing right after start.

Be warned, that this will wipe all your Android apps and settings.

Navionics Boating apps used to work perfectly. The only feature that didn't was the camera but that wasn't a big deal. Then I updated the app and it crashes every time after I click 'I Agree' when the app opens. https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=Navionics&hl=en_GB

Probably an update that started requiring Google Services :( Navionics answered that "This isn't something we would test our app for" when I mentioned that it used to work great on my Jolla.
