I am not currently receiving all email although my frequency is at "automatic" and selected to be up to date all the time for 07-19 mon-fri. Liking the swipe function but hating to do it when should be automatic.

Afraid you have to keep mail app opened in background mode to work in automatic mode. However, not 100% sure...
