My adsl modem hasnt got wifi, therefore I would need to get an internetconnection to my Jolla via an usb-cable. If i use a Rj45 -> USB adapter and then an USB -> mikro-USB adapter and plug in my Jolla, will I have an internetconnection?

It would be far easier to add WiFi to the adsl modem surely? Just buy a cheap wireless router and connect it to your router via Ethernet cables

What I succeeded to do, back in December, was to use usb tethering to use my computer internet connection on the Jolla, through the usb cable. It was not that complex, but I had to use developper mode and add ip routes by hand...

usb tethering from the computer would be a good solution also. Can you give me the commands i need to use and in which order I should use them.

@Tofe Would you have instructions, or a link to a tutorial, which would explain how to to that ? I too would be interested.

I will try to find it back -- I'll keep you informed. I don't remember it clearly, but it involved setting a static IP on computer side, forward packets from that IP to internet, then connect to Jolla in dev mode, add the computer static IP as a gateway, and add a static DNS server in revolv.conf. I understand your interest, it definitely saved my day when I was in Finland with no mobile data and no wifi :)
