For whatever reason the USB port on the charger is on the bottom side. By bottom I mean the side with all the CE markings etc, which for aesthetic reasons you would not want to have on the top when plugged in. Having the port on that side, and with the CE markings on the bottom, means that it is quite awkward to plug in the cable.

The easiest from a usability point of view, of course, would be to have the port on the end, instead of the side. However just flipping the port to the other side would also improve usability.

Overall the charger is quite an ugly piece of hardware, unlike the beautiful white round Nokia charger.

(For clarification: note this is not the same as the report about the USB symbol being on the wrong side of the cable, which has been reported elsewhere)

Hi, this is not a question, and sounds to me like just ranting. If you have a suggestion on which charger you would prefer to be shipped with Jollas, I'm pretty sure they guys can give it a thought.

My suggestion is very clear: have the USB port on the end of the charger or at least the other side of it (ie. simply flip the internals). Considering many, if not most, of the things here are not 'questions', I'm reopening this.

Really? Is this really relevant to the Jolla? This is not the intent of this service, this is supposed to be about improving the device by working together, does the position of the port on the charger make much difference?

Jolla is the company selling the phone, the USB cable and the USB charger. I wouldn't have posted this if it did not annoy me. Little things matter too (just ask Apple). Jolla is selling a device that is not just for geeks, but a wider audience. And geeks like attention to detail too. You are free to avoid upvoting if you do not feel it worthy, or downvoting if you actually prefer how it currently is.

A fair point the details do matter, in retrospect I was a little too dismissive. I suppose I am just to keen to get the phone features sorted. Apple, however, is not a good example as they have eschewed to common charging solution of micro sub, and that annoys me far more than the placement of the port on the Jolla charger.
