Rotation lock is very nice new feature! Very unlike and awesome idea. Thanks for that.
It would be nice if orientation remains locked for _all_ applications until phone is physically rotated again. That will be very helpful e.g., when using phone in bed or other circumstance when you don't want the screen to be auto-rotated.

In settings there is System -> Display -> Orientation that allows you to select between dynamic (default), lanscape, and portrait orientations, that does quite close to what you suggest.
Afaik keeping your finger on the screen will prevent rotation.

You have to go to a webpage at some point - orientation lock gets screwed up because you change the application. I assume that dynamic orientation lock gets reset by application switch, when it should be by device rotation (in other words, when the accelerometer senses enough movement indicating that the phone has been rotated at least 90 degrees).
