What is the reason for changing the look of app covers in 1.0.4.20?
The new update introduced "glass texture background to app covers".
I am asking Jolla this question because it looks not probable to me that this was done only because of looks, since there are so many other important features missing on Jolla. Was there a problem with the app covers that the community wasn't aware about? Or does it have something to do with the UI performance? Or...
There are already ongoing conversations about the new look of app covers and UI in general:

I have no problem with the new app covers. In matter of fact I think they look better now.

Titanium ( 2014-03-18 21:45:15 +0200 )editI also find new UI look better - more readable( especially under sunlight!) and prettier.
zlatko ( 2014-03-18 22:52:11 +0200 )editi like the new covers , more readable which is why I think the change was made . Now all ai need is better font for MY sent text messages and bigger fonts in emails or the ability to choose.
Hazy ( 2014-03-19 01:24:35 +0200 )editWas probably a minimal change that took 5 minutes to do
