I found a little glitch. The mobile data icon on the Settings app cover becomes "greyed out" (as if it is inactive) when it actually is enabled, after i.e. checking for new mail. Steps to reproduce:

  • Enable Mobile Data:

  • Go to multitasking home screen (mobile data icon is in its "enabled" state):

  • Check for new mail:

  • Now mobile data icon is in its "disabled" state:

  • If you go into the settings app though, you can see that the mobile data switch is still ON!

This doesn't affect internet connection at all, but I still felt it would be the right thing to report this anyway. I'm afraid my screenshots are a little bit washed out, but you should easily be able to reproduce this (I hope).

EDIT: Still not fixed in Paarlampi (1.0.5.16)

I like calling bugs 'glitches'. More fun to say and doesn't remind me of riding a bike with mouth open in the summer. :)

Thanks for this report. Will be fixed in a future update.

Ahah! I always imagined them as two slightly different things: BUG: nasty and troublesome; GLITCH: small, unimportant defect... and this one falls in the second category, IMHO :)

But, other than that i'm very surprised 'cause the setting screen (first screenshot here) is very different compared to mine: i still have the old style without the second row! (the one with GPS symbol in it and so on)...... Same for the second screenshot, i don't see neither GPS symbol nor Internet Sharing... bah..

@gordon_pcb_designer: you can add your own favourite toggles, from the very first release of sailfish... see here.
