Front camera image inverted in Android apps

When using the camera in the Android environment, the main camera operates normally. However, when the front camera is selected, the image is upside-down. The image is also saved this way. Any ideas on how to correct this?

Apps I use where this problem occurs include Facebook (v4.0.0.26.3) and Snapchat (v4.1.07).

Have the same issue with Instagram, the image shows inverted but after i snap the picture it appears rotated correctly... weird

Almost same problem in skype: own picture during video call is upside down , but other party (the one receiving the iimage) reports picture is fine.

same problem after the update to the 1.0.5.16, both camera are upside down using skype for call and video message, the video has a wrong ratio

Similar issue in Android Google Hangouts app: image from front cam shows upside down both at sender and receiver during video call.
