Screen turns on when unplugging headphone
When plugging in headphones the screen turns on, which is useful. But when unplugging headphone it is sensless to turn on screen (IMHO).
We have moved to a new Sailfish OS Forum. Please start new discussions there.

The intent with these physical events is: display should turn on only if ui has something to show (audio level warning, usb mode selector, ...)
What we were missing was: an interface ui side could use to request display on without breaking things like exceptional display state management during calls and alarms -> system control components need to guess when/what ui side might have want to do -> we get false positives (battery full used to have a notification banner), wrong display on lengths (connecting charger = just a brief banner, connecting to pc = mode selector dialog that user should have time to read and react), etc.
Now these things can be moved under ui control and one by one the issues should go away.

Screen orientation setting / locking
display sleep after "never" option ie. "display always on" is needed
Delay between screen shuts off and lock activates [answered]
Any way to increase the max line out/headphones volume? [answered]
who else has to aim super-carefully near the borders of the display?
rotate screen applications [duplicate]
Add "wallpaper"/"Ambience" setting to Settings/Display [released]
absolutely agreed! thanks a lot for removing that.

My preference would be the other way around... I do not need unlocking when plugging in because i already choose what should play and just want to route it through the headphones. But i always want to operate the phone when plugging them off.
