I'd like to configure my Jolla to only ask for the unlock password when I manually lock it, but not when the screen is auto-turned off my inactivity.

As-is, if I set to no-delay, it prompts for password on automatic lock, and it I deactive, it does not prompt when I manually lock.

I would develop this idea a bit further: separate locking delay setting for manually and automatically turned of screen. I.e. you could set it so that when you turn off the screen manually phone is instantly locked and after automatic turn off e.g. in 10 minutes.

Yes, that'a exactly what I meant to request. :)

Just as an extra idea:

  • swipe from top to middle = turn off screen, not locked
  • swipe from top to bottom = turn off and lock phone

@hardcodes.de make that a shorter swipe and I am with you. The lock icon showing while doing so could indicate where you are at. A vibration could indicate the lock to be closed (blind gestures).
