I think that browser should be able to search page for given word.

Edit: What about this? Is it coming soon?

@Tanghus: your link is a duplicate question of this current thread?

TeHeR ( 2014-03-12 22:03:52 +0300 )edit

@TeHeR: Yes, and normally I would have closed it, but it's already quite old, and have more votes than this. In the other I linked to this, which also has many votes. Sadly you can't transfer votes from one question to another.

https://together.jolla.com/question/7132/browser-find-in-page/ has been set as a duplicate of this older post and the votes are consolidated as well...

I don't get why this functionality is not implemented from the get go...this was the one most annoying thing on the N9 browser

@anandrkris, I would suggest not closing things as released until they are released in a proper upgrade, not a pre-release.

Just in case the feature gets rolled back for some reason, like the alphanumeric lock code did.

Okies, will keep it in mind. If it does not feature in final release i will remember to reopen the topic.

This patch doesn't work (PM fails when trying to enable)

objectifnul ( 2014-10-27 00:20:29 +0300 )edit

Are you on 1.1.0.39? I read patchmanager doesn't work correctly (or at least the patches don't) on that.

I guess that patch is for v1.0.8, and wouldn't work for v1.1.0? [edit] what he said. ↑

A search function should be there, without patches... This is a must-have in the native browser.

it work for me on 1.1.1.27, but interface need more polished. And i agree it is must have future.
