Stretch covers to fit screen while having 5-6 covers open
Would be great if the covers could be bigger while having 5-6 covers open. There's one cover row of unused space below the 5-6 open covers.

I'm guessing active covers need to maintain a specific aspect ratio. Instead of stretching, how about expanding the horizontal margins between covers?
Okw ( 2014-05-08 14:23:26 +0200 )editYou could have one larger cover and small around it while mainting ratio. Two small covers on the right, two on the bottom, and one at the corner.
Nux ( 2014-05-09 01:49:43 +0200 )edit@Nux, that's a fresh idea!
However, it would have some side effects:
1) It would make the order of covers less clear (now it's rows to be read left-to-right, top-to-bottom) and might cause some "where's that cover again?" moments when the layout changes.
2) If the large cover would be the size of 4 small covers in the 3x3 view (leaving room for 5 small covers), it would be bigger than the covers in the 2x2 view – which might seem strange, one cover getting bigger when more apps are opened.
(Small things, it could still work.)
ssahla ( 2014-05-09 22:00:27 +0200 )editin my opinion would be better to have 4 "bigs" covers and PULL left to get others covers. the 3x3 mode is not so clear as 2x2 mode. IMO the gestures PULL and SWIPE should not waste capabilities doubling the same action, ie SWIPE introduces Ambiances from both sides. Better implement, for example, SWIPE from right = favourites Ambiances, SWIPE from left = Settings.
