It would be useful to have the Redial option as the first item in the pulley menu of the phone application.

The use case I have in mind is:

  1. Open the phone application to call somebody
  2. The person you want to call happens to be the last person you have called so it appears on the top of the call history list.
  3. You simply pull down; using the pulley menu and select re-dial to call that person.

This way you can redial very quickly even while using the phone with one hand. Currently you have to select the last person called which is at the top of the list. Then you get a screen with two options Call and send SMS and from that screen you have to select Call in order to make a call.

Not sure if I understand, do you mean in Call app? There's already a thread for tiding up things, https://together.jolla.com/question/41985/move-end-call-and-call-again-buttons/ As far as things go for me, I'd like Call Again as a pulley item only after a call has ended, and I'm still in the summary view.

Maybe, a redial pulley that would open the dialer again so one can modify a typo mistake in the last entered phone number ?

Yes I mean the Call app. It is called Phone so I used that name. I have seen this thread you pointed out but I think its refferring mostly to the Call again and send message options location and availablility after terminating a phone call. What I am thinking of is a permanent Redial option in the pulley menu with similar functionality like the button that exists in all cordless landline telephone handsets. I will try to rephrase the question a little bit

Ah ok, thanks for explaining.

Settings > Apps > Phone > tick "Quick call". Then when clicking in the call list it will call directly the person, you won't be redirected to the screen with the two options. But honestly, two clicks, is that so horrible?

What about the long press option on any name in the history list and select Call from the menu that displays below that name (even without the finger leaving the screen)?
