This post is a wiki. Anyone with karma >75 is welcome to improve it.
PGP etc is nice, but easy to implement and good for the start are basic privacy improvments:
- Do not track in the Browser [implemented in 1.0.7.16]
- Delete/Block (3rd-Party) Cookies / per page ON / OFF javacripts - thx to @vandersmash
- ask before installing downloaded APK from transfers list [implemented]
- split localization service and GPS, allow manual setting of location
- allow custom DNS for Alien Dalvik (now all name server requests made by Android applications are tracked by Google on their 8.8.8.8 DNS Server) - thx to @vandersmash
- review access / permissions list applications before installing , option to agree to all or deny per item - thx to @vandersmash
- enable IPv6 privacy extension settings (to enable it now connman config files have to be modified.) - thx to @PyroDevil
- Forget WLAN-Networks: delete all related data
- Better SSL support
- Better SSL certificate information for user
- Warn users about unencrypted WAN connection
- user data encryption
- VPN client
- change default search engine in browser to DuckDuckGo.com, needs allowing to add custom search engines
- …

I'd consider full device encryption as "basic privacy" too in these days. Apple does it with the iPhones.
Fuzzillogic ( 2013-12-29 21:21:12 +0200 )edit- per page ON / OFF javacripts - default = off
vandersmash ( 2013-12-31 10:34:31 +0200 )edit-allow custom DNS for Alien Dalvik (now all name server requests made by Android applications are tracked by Google on their 8.8.8.8 DNS Server)
-review access / permissions list applications before installing , option to agree to all or deny per item
These valid requests should be tracked in single questions and linked in the one above, IMHO.
jukey ( 2014-02-10 06:41:33 +0200 )edit- enable IPv6 privacy extension settings (to enable it now connman config files have to be modified.)
PyroDevil ( 2014-02-10 10:50:38 +0200 )editI changed settings to community wiki, feel free to update the post.
