Speaker goes on unnecessarily
Hi! I just noticed this so i'm not sure if this is because of the Saapunki or what.
When i tap the buttons on the keyboard, speaker goes on. It isn't playing anything, just going on, but i can hear a faint noise from it. It doesn't bother me because it's audible only in a complete silence, but if you can duplicate this it should be fixed because, well... it's unnecessary.
I don't use sound feedback, and this occurs on silecend mode as well. Rebooting doesn't affect. It happens on every app that uses keyboard, and lasts about two seconds after the last tap.
It can be heard also when i go to 'Settings -> System -> Sounds and feedback' and tap any of the 'Default tones' options. This shouldn't even play anything even if i had the sound feedback choosed, but still turns the speaker on for about two seconds.
I notice the same thing when using headphones, but for me its a loud audible pop when pressing the first button after opening the keyboard and highly annoying.

With headphones the noise/pop is hardly noticeable for me, even in silence, because of the better quality on them compared to the Jolla's own. The noise starts with a pop from the speaker going on, and continues with a subtle white noise as long as you type, like you described.
Anybody else? I want to know if this is more of a feature than a bug.
AXIOS ( 2014-06-14 13:20:12 +0200 )editJust noticed that too.
Bnurb ( 2014-06-14 13:26:27 +0200 )editsamething on Bluetooth, when typing it plays "no sound" I think same is when recieving a call, it plays the no sound before the Jolla ring tone
FOMBE ( 2014-06-17 12:00:12 +0200 )editExactly. For some reason the phone activates playback when typing, which can be annoying if the audio system on use makes it audible.
I think i'll change the tag from possible-bug to bug.
