[Bug] Ability to disable "alarm vibration" and haptic feedback separately [duplicate]
In Settings>System>Sounds and Feedback, there are two items for setting the vibrations:
"Vibration": always/only in silent mode/only when sound is on/never
"Touchscreen Virbation": on/off
I would expect 1. to regard vibration for calls, messages, alarm, etc., maybe low battery, and 2. to regulate haptic feedback.
BUT: Putting the phone in silent mode and setting "Vibration" to "only when sound is on", that also disables haptic feedback, even though "Touchscreen Vibration" is set "on".
So that is either a bug, or the settings 1.) and 2.) are not meant to operate like I would expect. In any case, it should be possible to toggle vibration and haptic feedback separately
When I put the phone into silent mode, I usually want vibration (signalling calls, messages, alarm etc.) also turned off, but that's not related to what I want the phone to do when I'm operating it.
I think it's not a bug, it's just that the "Vibration" setting controls allvibration, including haptic feedback. But I agree with you that this is not good. Isn't this a duplicate of https://together.jolla.com/question/7479/allow-setting-vibration-for-ui-and-profiles-separately/?

Conversely, the fact that there is a button for toggling haptic feedback, then that's what it should do, independently of what another setting is doing (unless the two would rule each other out, which is not the case here). Anyway, you're correct, this is a duplicate :-|
