Cannot move around in overflowing text boxes [released]
There is a problem mostly seen in the web browser when editing text boxes with potentially huge amounts of texts (see for example this TJC post, but the problem is also visible in other contexts, e.g. on reddit): due to the lack of arrow keys, it is _impossible_ to move around the text in a text box except by clicking: this means that it is _impossible_ to reach part of the content when the content length overflows the size of the text box: long URLs, long message topics, long message texts can only be edited in their first part.
Some way to move around/scroll the text (at worst, something like the Android blue arrow text curstor?) should be provided. Maybe offer directional keys (arrows, page up/down, end, home) in another virtual keyboard page?
An example is this comment box to which I'm typing now. The selection could work in the same way it does at the rest the UI. (Also all text obn a page should be selectable but that's offtopic.)

anidel ( 2014-02-20 16:23:36 +0200 )editThis is tagged 'mar14', so I was expecting it to be fixed in 1.0.4.20 – but I guess it didn't make it to the release, as I see no improvement in this. Well, hoping for a fix in update 5 :) Any chance, @veskuh?

I was trying to do it the wrong way, by dragging the cursor. Sorry & thank you Jolla :) Still, it would be nice to have the drag-cursor thing here also.
