Disable cover fade animation of app being swiped away
Hey Sailors!
Since 1.0.7.16 (Saapunki) a fade animation is used, to highlight the current app being swiped away. So if I peek or going back to Home, my current app cover appears slowly on the upper left. In prior Sailfish software versions, the app cover was at the homescreen without delay.
Why was it changed? What is the real advantage of this? I cannot see any benefit of this behavior, because the current app was/is always on the upper left. My problem is, that this great OS now feels a kind of sluggish. Like the phone has not enough power to show the cover immediately. Mostly I feel the need to wait, until it appeared completely...
So my question is: How can I restore the old behavior and disable the cover fade animation?
I must say.. it's looking better now and more "done" than before.. There must be some eye candy todays world.. Sorry, but it is true.

to view OTHER information on the homescreen and in that scenario , this fading thing is a distraction!I agree with @Daniel. This animation seems unnecessary. It might not be clear for a first time user that he or she is minimizing the app by swiping, but once you know what you are doing, the animation just adds a certain sluggishness to the look and feel of the action.

Then a curtain animation has been added, getting rid of the seamless fading.
To me it looks like an option to show visually impaired people that they are beginning the minimizing option.
Please Jolla: options , options , options not replacements.
