I'm running latest OS version (1.0.7.16/18) on my Jolla. Please have a look to related question here: https://together.jolla.com/question/8431/tapping-on-downloaded-file-in-transfer-opens-application-but-does-not-render/

I'm pretty sure the following bug was not there in older OS versions:

I saw this behaviour first when opening attached PDF files from within the mail app. But I also tried to open them using file browser. Same behaviour.

  1. When I open a PDF file which is saved on my Jolla the load screen (rotating circle) appears
  2. Animation stops and load screen does not disappear.
  3. Swiping it to background works and reveals that PDF has opened successfully in background

Strange thing is, that it sometimes works without problems.

Opening files from within the documents app works without any problems at all.

I have faced the same bug, I think its somehow related to the size or complexity of the pdf file. The pdf reader of Jolla isn't fast to open those and the loading screen seems to get stuck while there is somekind of opening slowness or refresh bug at the background. Usually it helps if you just push the pdf into backround and then open it again from the "open apps"-vew.
