Browser saving png image to gallery

If I long press at "Detailed 5 day forecast" png image of Foreca Helsinki and save the image to gallery it will be saved as "~/Pictures/meteogram.php" and not with a png extension.

Also if I rename the file to png it will not show up in gallery.

I would like to rename the file before saving to gallery. A lot of images don't have names easy to remember.

Long press menu doesn't work in the lower left area of the png image.

If the menu pops up and you don't release the finger you can move the html-view in the background.

the Jolla "Screenshot" app (from the harbour) saves screen shots in PNG as well, and they do not show up in the Gallery for me either.

Files do exist in ~/Pictures

Thanks for these. Wrong filename extension and image not showing up in gallery are clearly bugs and I have filed bug in our system.

Renaming the file needs some UI considerations. We could implement "save as.." in the context menu, but on the other hand if the image correctly ends up in gallery is it really that important to rename it? Or would rename in gallery app be better place for it.

The long tap and scroll is known issue we just haven't yet have had time to fix.

I don't rename images often. But for example I'm using the Foreca PNG image stored offline in gallery as my "weather app". Shows every thing very compact. And when travelling I store the local weather and the destination weather. Without renaming before storing I can't distinguish them anymore.

Having a "Save as .." possibility like with my N9 fits better the usual workflow. You don't need to later open the gallery or a filemanager to rename the image name which is eventually not so easy to memorize.

This seems to apply to most dynamic images, like our BaseN platform generating .png graphs, which I sometimes want to email or share through twitter/fb. It worked flawlessly with N900 (Save image -> gallery -> share)
