Since an updated connectivity stack was introduced in 1.0.8.19 I notice the device is keeping 2 connections simultaneously when WiFi and 2G/3G are both active. When checking there are IP addresses setup fpr wlan0 and rmnet0. Actually the WiFi connection is used when needed. This will probably have some influence on energy consumption.

Not really a bug as this can happen when device asks for a-gps data while wlan is connected. (Also this behaviour has been in place since 1.0.5.16.)

I have seen it in 1.0.7.18 hotfix. Does it impact the energy consumption in negative way?

Yes and no, eg. Jolla supports Fast Dormancy with UMTS which will make it to physically disconnect mobile data connection if it's not actively transferring data. Also, normally mobile data will be disconnected when wlan gets connected but of course it will use more energy when they are both connected vs. only other is connected.
