[bug] Browser misinterprets touch position, wrong links open [duplicate]
Edit:This has been closed as duplicate of https://together.jolla.com/question/9253/bug-browser-touch-position-link-problems/, please vote there!
Sometimes when tapping on a link in the Browser the link doesn’t open, and sometimes a wrong link is opened (like for example when tapping on a question in the together.jolla.com main page the question above it is opened). It seems that sometimes the browser misinterprets the position where I have tapped (or has wrong information about what position the viewed page and its links are in).
I've experienced this after scrolling up and down a page (edit: and after zooming in), but I haven’t figured out an exact way to reproduce. I will update this post if I find out a pattern. But has anyone else been experiencing this?
I have seen this at least in together.jolla.com and talk.maemo.org. This is the stock Browser, 1.0.8.19.
@ssahla this is quite annoyance e.g. at www.apparit.com where you have rows of links in list format.
the link selection is especially difficult when you return from selected news tab by closing it back to the initial ampparit page, which still has the focus on the link that was used earlier. Selecting new link e.g. next link below in this situation is typically five to seven links off downwards.
The browser accuracy to select and handle links needs new improvment hopefully on next update.
