Don't display home-screen if no covers are open [not relevant]
If no apps are open, the task switcher is an empty page with four application icons at the bottom. For me it would be more effective if in that case the application launcher icons would be shown, and the task switcher screen would appear only when the first application is launched.
Sorry to say this, but I don't think this is needed, or useful: - The empty page should be rare, after a while of usage - The 'quick access' icons would either change position or need to be handled differently, disrupting muscle memory
Personally I prefer to know I have to swipe once for the task switcher/quick launcher (isn't it called the home screen?), and twice for the launcher than to have to decide on what to do based on the state of the device.
