Straight to the point: hit the URL https://mail.google.com/mail/mu instead of gmail.com.

Gmail works fine with the Mail app, but sometimes I need to search for old emails so I need the web version.

When you hit gmail.com in sailfish-browser, you end up on the old mobile version, far from the Android/iPhone mobile version. Why not, after all I'm not using it that often. The really big problem is if you try to open a Conversation (an email with several replies). On the N9, you get an error on top of the page but you are able to read the emails. With sailfish-browser, every time, I get this error:

Gmail conversation error

So I downloaded Android's Dolphin browser to be able to search through old emails (I could have tried Webcat also, I know). Today, I compared the URLs of the two browsers, and I tried the url of Dolphin in sailfish-browser: it works! The display is not perfect (header width too big), but it's almost the same than with an Android browser!

So, instead of going to gmail.com, go to https://mail.google.com/mail/mu and tadaa :)

You can also add it to the launcher directly :)
