Hello everyone. The problem is that the Media app does not automatically refresh or re-index the media files after copying via USB. I have transferred several audio files into the "SD card/Music/Artist" and they appear in the Media app after some 8 hours of more (it seems, that the phone updates the media library once a day). I have tried restarting tracker-control, it doesn't help, the only thing that helps is copying the files to the phone memory, but if you copy them back into the SD card, the app loses them again. So, did anyone else experience it and what could be the solution? (Firmware ver. 1.0.8.19)

tracker-control -se

should be what you need, tells tracker to clear its database and start its miner processes.

Jolla should tell tracker to re-mine the sdcard upon mounting, because there's never a guarantee it'll be the same card each time. Which will also pick up any changes, new files, etc.

Does not help and it gives this error

Should work, ignore that error its normal, give it a few minutes to index the new files

tracker-control -se might be needed, this also clears the tracker database and re-indexes everything. This will take longer though.

That worked, thanks a lot.

@gsalone you can watch its progress with tracker-control, it does take a few minutes to fully complete.

you can also point tracker-info [filename] at one of your music files to see what tracker has stored for it
