CalDav still unstable [released]

Hi,

I stopped my project for caldav sync because Jolla announced that they will support caldav. In three month I have my Jolla for one year but calendar sync is still not working reliable.

  • Manual sync does not work (from pulley)
  • Silent death of sync (new caldav entries does not appear, after sync worked for several weeks)

Is a release version/date available when caldav support will start to work reliable or is implementing this functionality on my own the only option ?

I still cannot manage to use my Yahoo calendar (and this is why I moved, temporarily? to Android..)

@barmeier - if you are a developer you can always help debug/fix those problems, the code is all OSS, contributions welcome: https://github.com/nemomobile/buteo-sync-plugin-caldav

CalDav support will be still experimental in next release, until we can concentrate resources for that.

@VDVsx: Unfortunately I am a Python / QML Dev. My C++ knowledge is close to zero. I think if it is experimental it should emit diagnostic informations that enables us to help. Is there a log file or something else I can look at ?

To enable logging you need to do:

systemctl --user stop msyncd
MSYNCD_LOGGING_LEVEL=9 devel-su -p msyncd

Logs will end up in journalctl you can then grep for caldav there.
