How do I send an MP3 file to another device with the last Sailfish OS 1.0.8.19 update? Settings -> System settings -> Bluetooth -> pulley menu -> there are only "Search for devices"

Edit:

Sailfish OS 2.0.4.14 (Fiskarsinjoki) now supports the integrated file transfer via Settings > Storage > 'select your storage' > File manager (from pulley menu) > long press your selected file and use the 'share' option > Use 'Bluetooth' option.

Also have a look at the main question: Bluetooth file transfer for all file types

Thanks for all the answers. I will recommend developers of Sailfish OS to work on this issue because sending any kind of files via Bluetooth is very important in terms of business.

Sending MP3 files via Bluetooth is officially not supported (at the moment) and IMO won't be supported because of licensing issues (like on any other Smartphone). But this functionality could be integreated into a third party app (e.g. a filebrowser app) - but there is no filebrowser around which is supporting sending music files via Bluetooth at the moment. An workaround could be to send the music via Mitakuuluu (Wha**App client) or rename the 'mp3'-ending of a music file with a filebrowser into a '.jpg'-ending to be able to send the music file with native Jolla gallery app and then rename the file on the other Smartphone again (but this is really unhandy)...

Are you kidding me, is Jolla really bending over for the RIIA???

I thought I paid for the phone?

Is this true Jolla?!?

Another workaround: set Jolla to developer mode and use WinSCP to upload files efficiently via WLAN.
