Since update 1.0.8.x I have the problem that wifi becomes unresponsive: the wifi connection icon is there, but it is totally grey. I have this problem at home where I have two AP's with the exact same configuration parameters. This setup worked well in 1.0.7.x. So now I don't know is this a bug in 1.08 or was it just luck that it worked in 1.0.7.x. If it is a bug, I hope it will be repaired in the next update because it is quite a nuisance when one has to switch wifi on and off many times.

It might be misconfiguration on your end + Jolla not handling it well, did you just setup a second AP with the same credentials (one router should be host and the second is bridge/client then, if both are host AP-roaming won't work well iirc)

I don't exclude the possibility of mis-configuration , but according to this article: http://hometoys.com/emagazine.php?art_id=1909 it's just a matter of configuring more them one ap all with the same parameters (section: Non-Controller Multiple AP Approach). One of the AP's is in my case the homerouter, the other is bridged to the LAN through a Raspberry box. DHCP is on a separate server. This all worked fine with 1.0.7.x

Will add bug to the tags then... (non-controller setups might get dodgy at some point, it is better to use bridged mode and have the router handle the networking - from my experience - there are always other solutions)

This may be a duplicate of these issues:

https://together.jolla.com/question/47980/is-it-the-wifi-repeater-that-causes-troubles/

https://together.jolla.com/question/50914/wlan-asking-for-password-again-wpa2psk/

Note the answer to the second question; it seems they've found the problem and a recent post to the mailing list suggests a fix will be included in the September update.

https://lists.sailfishos.org/pipermail/devel/2014-August/004939.html

So: There's a chance that what they found and fixed will also fix your issue. Of course, there's always the possibility that there's more than one bug and only one has been eliminated. ;)

Well, it's a bit different though... The first two cases seem to be more explicit connection break downs, with error messages and key-dialogues. But in my case the connection is just dead but doesn't seem to know about that itself. I checked the wpa-supplicant messages and nothing seems to happen at all.
