Calendar jumped -1 hours

Hi,

I use Google calendar and I was yesterday on business trip from Finland (EET/DST +3 hours) to Sweden (CET/DST +2 hours). My phone is set to automatically change the timezone. When going to Sweden my phone and calendar properly changed to CET and my events were moved one hour earlier. When I returned back the phone changed to EET but my calendar remained in CET and now the calendar is off by -1 hour. I have tried to force resync both manually syncing from Accounts settings and also by first disabling calendar sync, saving and re-enabling, but with no success. Any suggestions?

Hi!

After some days the issue has resolved itself! I don't know what made the calendar to switch to the right time automatically when my manual sync attemps didn't help.

One hypothesis could be that the calendar app doesn't support changing the time when it is running, so you need to restart it. If this happens again, you can try to test this.

I that could be true. When I had arrived to Sweden I restarted my phone and I didn't check my calendar before that. I didn't restart my phone when I returned back home. Now I have restarted my phone and the times are right. I'll have to test this next time I change timezone.

@penpen I can cofirm your hypothesis. I was travelling to France last week and experienced the same problem again. Closing and re-opening the Calendar app solved the problem.

This is actually not a Google sync problem, but a calendar app problem as confirmed by zlatko (https://together.jolla.com/question/58286/bug-calendar-events-time-does-not-change-when-travelling-between-time-zones-until-calendar-app-is-closed-and-launched-again/)

Before restarting, if I open the item for editing, I can see the correct (adjusted) time in editing view but in all other views the old (wrong) time is shown. If I save the item, or restart the calendar app, the correct time can be seen in all views. (sailfishos 1.1.1.27)
